Tile grout plays an important role in protecting your tiled floor and walls. It fills the gaps between tiles, helping to prevent water penetration, dirt accumulation, and movement that may damage the tiles over time.
There are two common situations where tile grouting is
required:
New Tile Installation – Grout is applied after new tiles are
installed to complete the flooring or wall finish.
Tile Regrouting – Old, cracked, mouldy, or missing grout is
removed and replaced with new grout to restore the appearance and durability of
your tiled surface.
Regrouting is a cost-effective way to refresh your bathroom,
kitchen, or flooring without replacing the existing tiles.
Watch the video below to see our tile regrouting process.
Our experienced tilers follow these steps:
1. Remove the old grout from the tile joints.
2. Clean the grout lines thoroughly to remove dust and
debris.
3. Prepare and mix the selected grout colour.
4. Apply new grout evenly between the tiles.
5. Clean the tile surface and carry out a final quality
inspection.
The duration depends on the size of the area and the tile dimensions. Smaller tiles generally require more time because there are more grout lines to remove and replace.
| Area | Estimated Duration |
|---|---|
| Living Room Floor | 3–4 Hours |
| 1 Bedroom | 2–4 Hours |
| Toilet Floor | 2–3 Hours |
| Toilet Floor & Walls | 4–6 Hours |
