Carpentry Repair in Singapore

Daily use, moisture and ageing hardware can affect cabinets, wardrobes and storage units. Common issues include poorly closing doors, loose wall-mounted cabinets, water-damaged panels and faulty hinges or drawer runners.

Not every damaged cabinet requires a complete renovation. Joydom assesses whether damaged parts can be replaced, hardware changed or existing structures reinforced instead.

Wall-hung cabinet repair and re-mounting

Loose or sagging wall-mounted cabinets can become unsafe when their supports weaken. Joydom inspects and reinforces mounting points before securing kitchen wall cabinets, floating TV cabinets, bathroom storage or display cabinets back to the wall.

Water-damaged wood replacement

Where water exposure affects only part of a cabinet, repairs can target bottom panels, swollen wood near sinks, side panels, internal shelves or cabinet bases while matching the existing structure as closely as possible.

Cabinet doors and hardware

Cabinet door work includes frame or panel replacement, loose-structure repair, alignment and complete replacement where required. Soft-close, hydraulic and standard cabinet hinges, drawer runners and related fittings can also be changed.

Cabinet glass replacement

Cracked, broken or loose glass can be replaced in kitchen cabinet doors, display cabinets, glass wardrobe panels and decorative storage while retaining the original cabinet design where possible.

Partial repair and cabinet modification

When the main cabinet remains serviceable, replacing damaged parts, changing hardware or reinforcing the structure may be more practical than full replacement. Existing cabinets can also be reviewed for shelves or appliance openings required by a dishwasher or kitchen hood.

The repair method depends on the cabinet material, extent of water or structural damage, mounting support, glass, hardware, dimensions and whether replacement parts can work with the existing carpentry. Photos of the full cabinet and close-ups of the fault help with assessment.

Planning your carpentry repair

Send clear photos of the damaged or unsuitable area, including the surrounding cabinet and its hardware. For appliance modifications, include product dimensions and the current cabinet opening.

FAQ

Everything you need to know

Common questions about arranging carpentry repairs with Joydom.

How can shelves be added to a cabinet?

The cabinet dimensions, material, internal fittings and required shelf position must be reviewed first. Share inside and outside photos with measurements.

How can a loose drawer be fixed?

A loose drawer may involve the front panel, fasteners or slide hardware. Send photos of the drawer open and closed so the affected parts can be assessed.

Can drawer slides be repaired or replaced?

Yes, depending on the drawer and cabinet condition. Photos of both slide assemblies and the drawer measurements help identify the required work.

Can hydraulic kitchen cabinet hardware be repaired?

Joydom can review hydraulic cabinet hardware and the connected door or cabinet condition to determine whether adjustment or replacement is appropriate.

Can a loose wall-mounted cabinet be secured again?

Joydom can inspect the cabinet and mounting support, reinforce the mounting points where suitable and secure the cabinet back to the wall.

Can water-damaged cabinet sections be replaced?

Yes. Depending on the condition, affected bottom panels, side panels, internal shelves or cabinet base sections can be reviewed for partial replacement.
